The opening week saw Chennai starting strong only to see them lose their grip in the following matches. Kings XI Punjab had ups and downs where they lost the match to Delhi Capitals in the super over but also showcased the batting prowess of KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal. This week was also witness to a 200+ successful run chase from Rajasthan Royals who also look in good nick thanks to a stunning 5-sixes in a over by Rahul Tewatia off the bowling of Sheldon Cottrel.
