Salgaocar Football Club
Salgaocar Sports Club was founded in 1956 by Mr. V. M. Salgaocar, the founder Chairman of Salgaocar Group of Companies. It is the most popular Club of Goa and were the first Goan Club to be invited to play in the 1962 DCM Trophy where they were felicitated by the then Prime Minister Late Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. They have been playing in Federation Cup (1977) and the National Football League (1996-97) since its inception.
