Indian Super League (ISL) 2017-2018 Teams

The 2017-2018 Indian Super League (ISL), in its 4th edition saw two new teams entering the league , Bengaluru FC and Jamshedpur FC. With the addition of the two new teams the league has a total of 10 teams, which means the league itself would run for a longer duration of time. The rules of including foreign players in the team has also been changed in this 2017-2018 Season.

The season started on Nov 17, 2017 with the league matches ending on Mar 4th, 2018. The Semi-Finals are TBD and the Final is scheduled to be played on Mar 17th in Kolkata.

Foreign Player Rule Changes

Unlike during the first three seasons of the Indian Super League, the 2017–18 season will see the maximum number of foreign players per team reduced to eight from 11. Also unlike the previous three seasons, the maximum number of overseas players allowed on the pitch at the same time was reduced to five from six.
